Description

It's so surreal that I have live a lifetime when communication was relied solely only on these phone poles. With today's technology we "talk" to others in a variety of ways.

If something happened in the world, where technology just went dead, how will we live? Would we adjust?

It's crazy to think, that a majority of someone's life is in a backup drive of a computer or in the palm of their hands in a cellphone. Digital art would completely disintegrate. We would resort back to writing letters than emails. meeting a person would actually involve being face to face, instead of a pixelated image on a screen.

Some days I wish for simpler times...

I completely get where you are coming from with this photo and the background inspiration... I grew up in the days of rotary phones that have cords and were fastened to the wall so if you wanted to talk to someone you either had to sit by the phone to call them or actually get outside and go see them face to face. Simpler times are where it's at because it's in the convenience these days that we lose the ability to actually communicate, see each other and how we respond to each other.

Your photo is framed well and shot interestingly but I think it would have more impact as a black and white instead of color image... good shot nonetheless!
