"90 people get Swine Flu & everybody wants to wear a mask. A million people have AIDS & nobody wants to wear a condom" -Jeffree Star
Ain't that the truth. More than one out of every 10 South Africans, 5.7 million of them, has been diagnosed with the virus, and more than 2.4 million children have been orphaned by the disease thus far.
It isn't a gay thing. I absolutely despise people who associate the two like it's meant to be that way. Ignorance is not bliss here. Ignorance is what makes you a social disease in this case. I'm sure you would feel lonely, rejected, and vulnerable if people shunned you away for having such. It's a messed up world and that's why we have to support those in need.
As the character portrayed above, it's like a broken down cyborg slowly wasting away. It tries to hide it's mechanical arm as it's the "disease" that's exposed to the open. Holding on to a red ribbon in hopes that one day, there would be a cure for it's condition. We fear what we don't understand. And to be feared by a condition beyond your control is like living suicide. Help each other and help yourself by understanding and having compassion for ALL humankind.
