These Stars

"These Stars"

Its has been in my thoughts
to meet you.
It has always been a dream
to know the real you.
This world is so virtual,
so theres only so much that can be held true.
But how is it that you leave a mark so hard
its permanently marked like a tattoo?
Its crazy cos' I dont even really know you.

Would it be best if im left to wonder?
cos' a fantasy is what keeps my dreams of you asunder.
To think I could be lying next to you
and watching these stars fade through...
If i crash within,
then all these emotions would bleed out of my skin.

It has been a hope
and im flying out to see you.
It has always been a wish
to hold you, to feel you.
Im scared to know that you think of me often,
and these feelings are so brand new.
im afraid im getting lost in your love
and you'd show me what i should do.

Its best that we made this real
cos' it was with you that our fate did seal.
and now im lying next to you,
watching these stars glow bright
that they seem to turn blue...
You crashed inside,
leaving all doubt aside
and it made me smile that i could've just died
after all, there was nothing more to hide.

It has been awhile
and im thinking of you.
It has always been the memories
that I continually go back to.
Of times that we shared and that our love grew.
I never regret anything even if for one day...
Its not enough though, to just say "thank you."

It was for the best, even when we had to let go
we left our hearts aglow. lust and love...
I remember it vividly, even if was some time ago.
you had me at hello, y'know?
But now I'm lying here without you,
watching these stars...cos' I know,
yes i know that you are watching them too.

Maybe someday we can watch them together again,
and maybe then...we wont question when.
It's enough to know that your dreaming of me
and thinking how strange and cruel love can be.
Til' then, I'll keep watching these stars
and bear love's scars.
Seasons will mend a partial heart,
through winter and spring, I'll find and put back the parts.
