Artist's Comments

Sometimes you need to go to your local museum or galleries and get some culture in your system. No matter how digital this age gets, it always goes back to this: it's roots.

Doesn't matter how many views you get on here, how many pictures you take and edit, how many emotes you create... Nothing justifies the feeling of complete awe, than physically experiencing the visual art before you. Know your history and why you are here in the art world.

Critiques

:iconjoshinu-panther:
Let me first apologize, darling Husband, for my lack of ability to write really good reviews about art, but as art is a very personal thing, I figure reviews are pointless, so this whole "grading" thing? Pointless.

But moving on, it's very hard for me to find a conceptual picture that doesn't just make me go, "Um... what is the point?" But this... this picture doesn't make me think, and in its simplicity, it answers some very complex questions, such as: "What is the point of 'old art'? Why are museums so treasured? Why are these so valuable?"

The answer given to me by this photograph is as follows: The reason art is so important, and museams are treasured, is the insight it provides to the patrons.

On to the mechanics of the photo, there are 4 subjects to the picture: You, the shape of the room, the other person, and the art itself. The shot gives a lot of focus to each object, and is very well lit. The only question I have left is: If galleries and museums have a no-photography policy, then how did you manage to get this shot? and also... who's holding the camera?

Great work, as always.

Much love from your dA hubby,
JV Hampton
